Imagine this: You're in a rugby game, playing at full-back. An easy kick comes your way, and you're psyched. When that ball lands in your hands your team will win, and you'll be a hero. But, you're a little off. You drop the ball. So much for your dreams of glory. Such loss of coordination can be caused by smoking marijuana.
There is so much wrong with that statement as a rugby player and a weed smoker, I don't even know where to begin. This is the kind of rubbish the kids now a-days are getting educated on marijuana.
I don't know why, but all these websites for some reason seem to have no conclusive answers to the negative effects of cannabis, but yet it’s obvious to see the major bias against it. Like a website called: Ask Dr. NIDA, Absolute bullshit. It links marijuana usage to the spreading of HIV and AIDS, using its nice use of 6 degrees of separation. I’m sorry doc but I think you’ve got….
This is the same website that told the telling statistic that marijuana can cause reckless driving by stating “In one study of 150 reckless drivers, 33 tested positive for marijuana.”
Wait a minute here, that's only 22% of people who drove reckless while high, that means the other 78% were straight. Does that mean you’re more likely to drive safer when you’re stoned?
Do you know how many people were killed last year resulting from marijuana? Heck the whole time marijuana has been around; ZERO deaths have been recorded resulting from marijuana use.
What about tobacco, oh just around 5 million worldwide annually, about 5000 in New Zealand alone. It’s a shocking statistic so why is tobacco legal, yet cannabis isn’t.
Although I do admit marijuana isn’t all that good for you, as cannabis does contain an amount of tar and like all drugs chronic use can cause health problems. It is true it does contain potential medicinal qualities. It’s not just a myth, it is correct. Smoking the good stuff is able to assist in pain relief; it is able to improve the nausea caused by cancer chemotherapy, also it is proven to be beneficial for Glaucoma sufferers as it relieves the pressure placed on the eyeballs, also marijuana significantly reduces pain in people with multiple sclerosis.
It is sad to see that generation after generation is being tragically misinformed about this topic, and there is still a stigma attached to marijuana even though these myths have been scientifically proven to be all lies. Now I’m not promoting the use of marijuana by writing this blog, but to educate people on the proper facts. As somewhere down the line in life it is inevitable that the option to do drugs will come available, and hopefully you will now be able to make an educated decision whether or not to do it. Of course if you don’t want to do drugs that’s absolutely respectable and should be encouraged. But here are 15 SUPER COOL(lame) ways to say no.

Hey Joseph,
You definitely picked an interesting topic to blog about. I thought i had a fair idea about the drug marijurana, but i didn't know the facts like "no recorded deaths that have been caused by marijuana"! That suprised me.
I learnt about how drugs like marijuana at High school during health classes. However we were always informed the hard cold facts why you shouldn't take it and it is bad for you etc etc. Never were we taught that it helps various patients with their pain relief due to the diseases they have. For this reason, I think marijuana should be legalised for medical reasons and that alone. Souly because of the many other people that are users of this drug and in my opinion abuse it.
I agree with you that young adults these days should be educated with all the facts of marijuana, not just "drugs like marijuana are bad so don't do them!" Everyone has to make that decision about drugs for themselves, but with useful information and the right guidance younger generations would make the smart decision.
Also your links in your blog were very useful and relevant on your opinions perfectly.
Thankyou for informing me with more useful facts on marijuana, much appreciated!!
Hey DUDE!
OMG i love your Blog!
When you told me that, your blog was going to be about Marijuana... i was.. hmm this would be interesting. lol
But what amazed me the most, was how you present this issue. Ive always seen drugs as a negative thing and thought it killed more people than smoking tobacco. Wow Theres alot of information i didn't know about marijuana.
Didn't know that THC was related to Marijuana. I especially liked your links. Thanks man, i think you thought me more about Marijuana then my Health teacher back in high school. Thanks.
Haha Joseph I love the "cool" ways of saying no you included at the end. I mean honestly who would actually say that!!?
Lol I liked your blog anways. If you want my opinion, which you probably don't I reckon smoking cigarettes is a far more undesirable habit.
